Proper aftercare is an important part of protecting your new artwork while it heals, and our artists will provide you with guidance appropriate for your tattoo and the method used to create it.

Because Hawaiʻi's climate is warm, humid, and often sunny, visitors should give particular attention to protecting a fresh tattoo from excessive sun exposure, swimming, and unnecessary irritation during the initial healing period.

If you're visiting Waikīkī, we encourage you to plan your activities around your tattoo. That may mean temporarily avoiding ocean swimming, pools, prolonged sun exposure, and activities that could cause excessive rubbing or irritation.

Keep your tattoo clean, follow the specific aftercare instructions provided by your artist, and allow your skin the time it needs to heal.
